One of the best places to explore in Birmingham for Street Art, for me, is The Custard Factory and surrounding Digbeth area. I often wander down around there at a weekend, as it’s a fairly short walk from the city centre. Once there you’ll find yourself surrounded by an eclectic mix of vibrant Street Art, artisan cafes and interesting little shops. You can’t fail to feel like you’ve walked in to a thriving community of friendly artists and creative types. To celebrate the abundance of talented artists, whose art covers many of the walls around that area, the High Vis Street Culture Festival brings together some of these artists along with a nod the culture and lifestyle that represents or inspires them. So not only can you see the artists at work on new pieces, but also take in the talents of hip-hop performers, BMX and skateboarders.
